305 New Brighton Road, Burwood, Christchurch 8083

The first church serving New Brighton was situated at Burwood and was built in 1877 at a cost of $500. The land was given by Richard Morten and the Architect was Benjamin Mountfort. It was dedicated by Bishop Harper. It was named “A Saints” and the first minister was the Rev Henry Glasson.

Amelia Rodgers father Henry Inwood was the first person buried in the cemetary adjoining “All Saints Church”. He died in 1882.
