First meeting held in Seaview Road where the Barn Mall is now.  Returned Servicemen from 1^st World War.  Later they had meetings in a private house in Baker Street.  The first building on the site was a school moved from the country.  Opened by Danny Sullivan Minister of Industries in May 1938.  In 1960 extensions were made to the front of the building by members from the 2^nd World War.
